Determining sequences of crossed writings and seal stamps is a difficult problem in the field of questioned document examination. By summing up thirty-eight literatures, the paper introduces eleven methods of determining the sequencing of crossed writings and seal stamps in common use nowadays, each method is reviewed and compared of its advantage and limitation, in order to help document examiners find out the most applicable ways in according to different conditions.
