摘要
文章通过对近十年来国内外学者就英语中主谓一致问题所进行的各项研究进行了回顾后发现,国内外学者都是在语言使用这个层面上探讨主谓一致问题。国内研究者多使用主谓一致的三个基本原则(语法一致,意义一致和就近原则)来解决学生在学习中出现的问题。国外的研究者则直接从分析学习者的错误入手,发现句子的结构和语义因素都能影响学习者对主谓一致的判断。因此,作者认为教师在教学中,要注意引导学生灵活运用三项基本原则,同时也要引导学生注意句子的结构和语义两因素在判断主谓一致中的作用。
After reviewing studies on subject -verb agreement by researchers from home and abroad during recent ten years, findings show that researchers of home and abroad deal with the issue of agreement at "language use" level. Most researchers in China insist on the use of "three basic principles" (grammatical concord, notional concord, principle of proximity) to cope with students" problems in the process of learning, while overseas researchers propose that both the sentence structure and the meaning affect the judgment of agreement made by learners based on their studies on error analysis. Therefore in the process of teaching, the author thinks students should be instructed to flexibly use the "three basic principles" and that students should be instructed to pay attention to the roles of the sentence structure and the meaning in solving problems of subject - verb agreement.
