Web service is a distributed applied program. Combined with Smart Client, it can serve the user with a transparent and platform - independent examination system. This paper presents the implementation of this model which is based on the web service. It indicates that the examination system is advanced in designing, useful in practice, and platform - independent when it is integrated into network teaching system.
