新疆芨芨草草甸资源丰富，有１９个草地类型２个亚建群种类型，总面积达３３．８万ｈｍ２，是全疆主要春秋冬牧场。长期以来因利用不合理，导致生产力急聚下降。为了恢复该草地的生产力，近几年采用了一系列综合改良技术措施。

We have a lot of Achnatherum splendens pasture resources in Xinjiang. According to the investigation, there are 19 pasture types, 2 subdominate types. They occupy about 338000hm 2 of the total pasture area, it is a major grazing pasture for spring, autumn and winter. Due to the long time improper use the pasture productivity was decreased. In recent years, we have adopted a series of comprehensive improvement methods to recover the pasture productivity, and have received a very significant result from thes research activities.
