Effects of n butanol extract of Atractylodes japonica on contraction of aortic strips in rabbits

关苍术正丁醇萃取物抑制去甲肾上腺素和氯化钾所致兔主动脉条收缩反应，使量－效曲线非平行右移，压低最大收缩反应，说明关苍术正丁醇萃取物既能抑制电压依赖性钙通道，也能抑制受体钙通道，是非竞争性拮抗．

The effect of n butanol extract of Atractylodes japonica Koidz.ex Kitam. on the contraction induced by norepinephrine or potassium chloride was studied on the rabbit aortic strips. The results showed that extract of Atractylodes japonica Koidz.ex Kitam.inhibited the contraction of aortic strips evoked by norepinephrine or potassium chloride,and could shift dose response curves for norepinephrine or potassium chloride to the right in a non parallel fasion and depress their maximal response showing noncompetitive antagonism. This suggests that extract of Atractylodes japonica Koidz.ex Kitam. has an effect on inhibiting action of poential dependent calcium channel and that of receptor operated calcium channel.
