试论宋代城市的治安管理

On the administration of public security in the Song Dynasty

宋代是我国城市发展史上的重要时期。由于商品经济繁荣,城市人口密集且流动性加大,市民的消费也空前活跃,由此产生了许多城市治安问题,导致城市社会秩序混乱,恶性案件不断,火灾频发。为了改变这种状况,宋代统治者从多个方面加强了对城市的治安管理。这是我国城市发展史上的必然过程,也是城市发展的客观需求。

The Song Dynasty was an important period in the urban development of our country. Owing to the prosperity of commercial economy, the dense population and its increasing liquidity, the consumption of the urban residents was unprecedentedly active. Consequently, a lot of problems concerning urban public security arose,which led to the chaos of urban social order and the frequent occurrence of serious cases and fires. To change the situa- tion,the rulers of the Song Dynasty strengthened the administation of public security in several aspects. This was the inevitable process in the urban development of our country and the objective needs of urban development.
