摘要
优秀的教师、尖子学生、宽容与理性主义的基调,是美国几所顶尖的特色学院普遍具有的特性。克拉克教授研究的新颖性在于对组织变革的非结构性因素的研究方面,即旨在通过对组织的观念体系或象征系统的分析,以期揭示蕴藏在传统中的组织凝聚力的文化整合根源。本文着重研究的是以普遍参与、情感维系、和优质教学质量为特征的学院模式,旨在为应付随大众化而来危机问题,为多元化时代中重塑精英高等教育提供有用的历史借鉴;本文侧重阐释适用于现时代的精英培养的有效方式,及试图追溯精英教育时代的大学机构的组织传统、信念和变革方向,以期对我国现阶段重塑精英高等教育有所裨益。
The novelty of the research what Professor Clark had chosen to do was that he paid much attention to the features of the organizational changes in non-structural aspects,especially to the conceptual system,in order to find the cultural sources for the gathering powers of an organization.This article emphasizes the analysis of collegial patterns which enjoy the general distinctive characteristics including excellent teachers,excellent students,and the tone of rationalism and generosity,and pays much attention to the discussion of the useful paths leading to the rebuilding of elite higher education today,and still remembering the tradition and faith of the universities in elite times.All these attempts can be taken into consideration when we deal with the crisis in a time of mass higher education,and when we rebuild elite higher education in our country.
