纳兰性德常常在他的词的凄清哀婉的意境中抒发一种人生如梦的空幻感受。这种空幻意识的形成与他的个人遭遇、社会时代及文人性格有关。在这种空幻的感受中,词人经过痛苦的追寻,把儒家心性修养的理论和佛道中超脱隐逸的情结相融合,最终形成了鄙视富贵功名,向往个性自由的至高的生命境界,体现了高贵的人格精神。

In his pathetic poems, Nalan Xingde usually shows an illusory feeling that life is like a dream. The formation of this illusory consciousness is connected with his personal experience, literatus character and social environment. With this illusory feeling, the poet pursued painfully, fusing Confucian, Taoist and Buddhist spirits. He shows disdain for riches and honors and pursues the freedom of individuality, thereby representing a lofty personality.
