The growth of specialist preschool teachers （SPTs） is a focus of domestic teaching research at present. First, it is argued that professional reward is the drive for the growth of SPTs. Second, professional knowledge and teaching skills are the content of SPTs. Third, teaching reflections and training are the major approaches to SPTs. Fourth, adapting to challenge and personal ability are the conditions for the growth of SPTs.
