In light of a series quality problems existing due to the low level of automatic control on the quenching system for the cap-like heavy rail end a set of advanced control systems has been designed and put into commissioning steadily for a year. Since its commission the system is running very smoothly with high control precision and ease of maintenance and high quenching quality of the heavy rail end, so it has broad prospect of application in the future.
