On the Ethics of D· H· Lawrence

D · H· Lawrence is one of the most controversial novelists of the 20th century. His works break through the forbidden zone of conventional literature and attempt to describe the primitive human nature. Based on Lawrence＇ s three important works, this paper analyzes the influence of his growing-up environments on his ethics, the natural instinct notion embodied in his works and naturalist ethics, which will contribute to the understanding of Lawrence＇ s ethics and his works.
