《复活》是俄国伟大作家托尔斯泰的一部重要作品。该书无论是在主题提炼、人物设置与刻画手法,乃至为消除社会弊病所开设的济世药方等方面,都不同程度地借鉴了法国作家雨果的创作方法。

Resurrection is a masterpiece by Tolstoy. It borrows a lot from the methods of Hugo, a French writer producing works to some different extent, such as in abstraction of the themes, the methods of characters＇ setup and depiction, and even in his methods of salvation for eliminating social evils.
