摘要
线粒体DNA一般只通过母系遗传，是人们探索母系遗传的绝佳工具。现简要地介绍线粒体DNA的遗传学特性及其为母系遗传的必然性，进而以对动物精子线粒体DNA在精子发生时及受精后发生降解的机制的阐述为基础，对国内外关于动物线粒体DNA母系遗传机制的研究进展作一综述。
Mitochondrial DNA is inherited maternally, which is the excellent tool for the exploration of maternal inheritance. This review introduces＇the genetic characteristics of mitochondrial DNA and the inevitability of this genetic mode, furthermore, overviews the advance of the research on the mechanisms of maternal inheritance in animal through the degradation of sperm mitochondrial DNA during spermatogenesis and fertilization.
