儒家传统哲学强调行动动机在道德评价和道德生活中的决定性作用,起于"为仁由己",强调修身齐家治国而平天下,达于"天下归仁"。这一特点尤其表现在儒家传统荣辱观上。儒家荣辱观内容丰富,旨意宏远,其中包含着许多值得借鉴的思想精华,它是构建和谐社会的思想智源。今天重温这一份遗产,对于我们继承传统荣辱观,树立以"八荣八耻"为主要内容的社会主义荣辱观,进行卓有成效的道德建设,具有重大的科学价值。

Traditional philosophy of Confucian School emphasized the critical function of motivation in morality evaluation and moral life,strengthened cultivation of one＇s moral character and administering the country and then the world. It embodied the traditional outlook and shame of Confucian which was rich in content and high educational value. It is the ideological resources in building harmonious society. To study this heritage will help greatly in inheriting the traditional outlook on honor and shame and establishing the socialist outlook on honor and shame（the ＂eight honor and eight shame＂outlook）so that we can carry on our moral educatioin effectively.
