Motivation in Building New Socialist Countryside in China

建设社会主义新农村,必须以邓小平理论和“三个代表”重要思想为指导,按照“生产发展、生活宽裕、乡风文明、村容整洁、管理民主”的目标和要求,以发展农村生产力为原动力,以提高农民生活水平为带动力,以改善农村基础设施为驱动力,以发展农村社会事业为吸引力,以加强基层民主政治建设为凝聚力,积极稳妥地解决我国的“三农”问题,全面推进社会主义新农村建设的宏伟工程。

The new socialist countryside must be built under the guidance of Deng Xiaoping Theory and the important thoughts of ＂Three Represents＂, with the aim and requirements of ＂production development, well-off life, civilized atmosphere in the countryside, tidy villages, and democratic management＂, taking the development of the rural productive forces as the impetus, raising living standards for farmers and taking the improvement of the rural infrastructure as the driving force, the development of rural social undertakings as attraction, and taking the strengthening grass-roots democracy as the cohesive force. The issues concerning agriculture, countryside and farmers must be properly solved to comprehensively promote the grand project of constructing the new socialist countryside.
