Eugene O＇Neill is the founder of Ameriean drama, and his drama is greatly irtflueneed by many culture and literary thoughts. A Moon for the Misbegotten comprises many of the artistic features of drama schools from ancient Greek to 20th century. This article tries to diselose its creative sources-the archetypes, the three unities of time, place and action and the models of traditional folk tales, so as to give us a new interpretation from a different perspective.
