晚清教育改革中的张百熙和张之洞

Zhang Baixi and Zhang Zhidong in the Education Reform in the Late Qing Dynasty

张之洞和张百熙是晚清教育改革中的关键性人物。在戊戌维新期间二人都曾在地方大力兴建新式学堂,并对中央教育改革献策献力。新政时期,张百熙担任管学大臣,其后张之洞也因久负兴学盛名而被朝廷任命参襄学务.在制定近代学制、废除科举制度等方面二人有诸多合作,也存在不少分歧,既由于教育权力之争,也在于教育思想的不同。但总体来说二人在教育宗旨等方面存在共识,在教育改革当中的合作关系还是主要的。

Zhang Baixi and Zhang Zhidong played important roles in the education reform. They had energetically set up new type of schools in provinces, and made suggestions for the central education reform from 1895 to 1898. During the new policy reform, Zhang Baixi,the manager Of the reform,was pre - requisite during the reform of the centralized official system. Soon Zhang Zhidong participated in the central education reform. During this time they had corporation and differences in the course of instituting modern education System and abolishment of the imperial civil examination system.
