英语应用能力是指运用英语语言基本功并把这些基本功运用到实际涉外交际中的能力。语言基础是应用能力的前提和保障,应用能力则是语言基础的体现和目的。所以提高英语应用能力,首先要打好英语语言基础。

The ability to apply English refers to the ability to put English basic skills into practical communication. The language foundation preconditions the application-oriented ability, which on the other hand is the embodiment of the language foundation.
