数量象似性原则在言语交际过程中的礼貌策略中的体现

数量象似性原则用于解释人类把比较多的形式和比较多的意义相联系的同时又反过来把比较少的形式和比较少的意义相联系这样一种认知趋向。数量象似性原则除体现在句法结构上以外,同样体现在人类言语交际过程中所使用的礼貌策略之中,正如一则箴言所云“being polite is saying a bit more”。比如,增加语言形式实际上意味着要传递说话人对听话方的尊敬以及尊重程度逐渐增加这样的信息。文章探讨了语言符号的数量象似性原则在人类言语交际过程中的礼貌策略中的体现,从而进一步体现了语言与认知的关系。

Numerical iconicity explains such a kind of cognitive tendency that human beings relate relatively more language patterns with relatively more meanings and vice versa, Besides in syntactic structure, numerical iconicity is also reflected in pohteness strategies used by people in the process of language communication,as the maxim goes ＂being polite is saying a bit more＂. For example,increasing the quantity of language patterns means the raising of degree of respect from speaker to hstener. This thesis discusses such a kind of phenomenon so as to further confirm the relationship between language and cognition.
