Zhang Taiyan's Thoughts and Main Opinion on Chinese Journalism

章太炎是近代著名报人,他的新闻思想深植于中国传统文化,同时融合西方报刊理论,提出很多独到的见解,如,利用报刊舆论,立足新闻事实,提出独立见解,中西合璧,提倡新闻自由,对当时的报界产生了巨大影响,推动了社会革命舆论的形成和发展,从而对当时社会进步起到巨大影响。

Zhang Taiyan is one of the most famous Journalists in modern Chinese history. He is known as his unique opinions about newspapers and journalism. He insists that Chinese and western culture should be combined together to approach problems in＇the journalistic circles. And he thinks that journalists, based on facts, should be helpful to create correct public opinion, and should think about and analyze social problems independently. All his thoughts about journalism exerted a big impact to the journalistic circles and boost the revolution situation at that time.
