知识和人才、民族素质和创新能力越来越成为综合国力的重要标志,成为推动或制约经济增长和社会发展的关键因素。素质教育是一种依据人的发展和社会发展的实际需要,以全面提高学生的基本素质为根本目的,以尊重学生的主体性和能动性、注重开发人的智慧潜能、注重形成人格的健全为根本特征的教育,从大学生的文化素质状况和实施素质教育过程来看,更应加强各种教育活动,使大学生学会学习、学会生存、学会做事、学会创造、学会做人,做一个思想品德好、知识技能高、身心健康的人。

Knowledge and talent, quality and creativity of a nation are the key factors that propel or restrict the country＇s economic and social development. These factors are also increasingly becoming important symbols of the overall strength of a country. Quality education for college students is base on the needs of individual and social development, aims to improve students＇ fundamental quality, and attaches importance to the initiative, potential and personality of students. Where the present situation of college students＇ quality is concerned, quality education should be strengthened so that students learn to study, to survive, to do things and to be a true person with morality, capability and health.
