In April 2007, the Shanghai Gold Exchange （SGE） traded 123,670.8 kilograms of gold, with a year-on-year increase of 5.05%. The trading value rose by 8.80% year-on-year to 20.884 billion yuan. The platinum traded in April rose by 11.19% year-on-year to 3,756 kilograms, with the trading value up 16.47% year-on-year to 1.228 billion yuan. Silver traded in April was 23.88 tons, with a turnover of 88 million yuan.
