New Method of Pressure Measurement in the Main and Pre Chambers of Swirl Chamber Diesel Engines

Introduces a new sensor to strictly measure the pressures and pressure differences of main and pre chambers in swirl chamber diesel engines, and analyzes the influences of the pressure measurement error from the sensor on calculating the heat release rate and discharge of connecting passage. The results show that strict pressures and pressure differences of main and pre chambers can be measured using the pressure difference sensor, with benefits for raising heat release rate calculation accuracy.
