摘要
本文主要介绍语料库主要工具软件WordSmith，以及该软件的检索、单词列表和主题词三大功能，并举例说明如何利用WordSmith开展外语教学研究设计，最后指出，计算机研究方法对外语教学具有重要意义。
Computer-aided research method is a new development in EFL research in the 21^st century. This paper describes WordSmith software and its three main functions of concordance, wordlist and keywords. Then, it also gives examples to show how WordSmith is applied in the design of EFL research. Finally, it emphasizes the importance of computerized research methods in EFL studies.
