党的十一届三中全会后,邓小平带领中国人民走上了强国富民的改革开放之路,扭转了中国的前途和命运。“不管白猫、黑猫,捉住老鼠就是好猫”、“发展才是硬道理”、“科学技术是第一生产力”等朴实而睿智的话语,引领中国农村实行联产承包责任制,从而拉开了中国农村体制改革的序幕;确立了中国改革开放和以经济建设为中心的发展方向;揭示了科学技术对于当代生产力发展和社会经济发展第一位的变革作用,指明了中国发展生产力的根本途径,对当代中国社会的变迁起了巨大作用。

Since the third CCP plenary conference, Deng Xiaoping has led Chinese people to step onto the road of reform and opening-up,and reversed the future and destiny of China. His wise and far-sighted words like ＂No matter what colour a cat has,it is a good cat if it can catch mice＂, ＂Development is the absolute principle.＂ and ＂Science and technology are the primary productive forces＂ initiated contract system of responsibility, a prologue to China＇s reform in rural areas. They established China＇s reform and opening-up and economic construction as the central task. And they revealed the primary role of science and technology in the contemporary development of the productive forces and socio-economic development, and specified the fundamental way to the development of productive forces in China, which has been playing a tremendous role in contemporary China.
