Some Key Issues in China's Economic and Social Development

在我国工业化合并信息化的历史进程中,必须摆脱欧美国家工业化过程中形成的以资源极度开发和高消费为特征的经济发展理念和模式的影响,重新研究经济社会发展的标志性指标体系,创新社会发展理念和模式,创新社会生活方式,以引导我国经济社会持续、健康、快速地发展。同时,在扩大对外开放过程中,必须十分注意维护国家的经济安全。

During its historical transformation of industrialization with information revolution, China must rid itself of the influence of such concept and model of economic development in Europe and America characterized by excessive consumption and exhaustive exploitation in resources. Instead, China should learn from their lessons, reexamine its major indexes for development, adopt and advocate for an innovative model for social progress and life style, and therefore, obtain a healthy, sustainable and rapid economic and social development.
