In making cluster analysis of students＇ comprehensive academic performance, common methods tend to reach at not quite accurate and reasonable results due to its indiscrimination of major courses and public courses. Through the adoption of mathematic methods, this paper improves the distance concept in the definition of classification, and makes the results of comprehensive performance classification more accurate.
