公仆精神是公共权力领域的核心价值追求，是社会主义核心价值体系、中华民族精神的重要组成部分，是党在新形势下对党的领导干部提出的新要求。国内关于公仆精神的研究，主要是在对公仆问题、行政伦理与公共管理伦理学问题思考的基础上展开的。这些研究对于塑造新时期的公仆形象起了重要启示作用，但也存在不少问题。培育具有时代特征、中国特色的公仆精神等，是公仆精神研究今后应着力探讨的问题。

The promotion and building - up of the spirit of public servant is the essential value pursuit in the field of public power, a quintessential part of the socialist essential value system and the national value of China, and it is a new demand set out against the background of the new historical era. The study of the spirit of public servant at home mainly centers on reflections on the public servant issue, administration ethics, and public management ethics. These studies are of some value in molding the new image of public servant, yet they are more or less flawed in some way. The subjects of molding the Chinese style spirit of public servant characteristic of the era should be taken into study with emphasis in our future work.
