An Analysis of the Aesthetic Value of Folk dances of the Yi Nationality——based on the dances of the Yi people in Weining County in Guizhou

彝族是一个能歌善舞的民族,千百年来,彝族先民凭着智慧和勤劳创造了光辉灿烂的民族历史和深厚的民族文化,形成了自己独特的良风美俗,其别具一格丰富多彩的文学艺术,已成为祖国文化遗产宝库中不可或缺的一部分。特别是“养在深闺人未识”的威宁彝族民间舞蹈(民俗舞蹈),形式独特,内容丰富,种类繁多,原生态气息浓郁,具有极高的研究价值和审美价值。

The Yi is a nationality that is good at singing and dancing. For thousands of years the forerunners of the Yis, with their wisdom and diligence, created the splendid history and culture of the nationality. Their unique and colorful literature and art have become an indispensable part in the treasure house of Chinese cultural heritage. The folk dance entitled ＂Upreared in the Innermost Boudoir and New to Anybody＂ of the Yis in Weining County has a unique form and is rich in content with a strong flavor of naturalness and is therefore highly valuable in aesthetics.
