The Application and Management of Fundamental Geographic Information Metadata

在分析了元数据的基本内容和扩展方法的基础上,根据基础地理信息建设和更新维护的流程引入了基础地理数据元数据,使元数据和基础地理信息生产过程紧密结合,互为补充。实现了在生产流程中的各环节更新元数据,通过元数据管理测绘生产流程并构建了元数据管理与服务系统得到实际的应用。

This paper analyzes the basic contents of metadata. Based on the procedure of fundamental geographic information production, input the geographic information metadata. We succeeded in using and developing the metadata of fundamental geographic data existing in the procedure of the production and its management which not only make it correlative the metadata and the procedure of the production but also make them support each other, in that way we can update metadata during the procedure and use metadata to control the flow as well. According to this idea, we developed ＂The Fundamental Geographic Information Metadata Management System＂. The system is comprehensively used in the Shanghai Municipal Institute of Surveying ＆ Mapping .
