Negative influence of RMB revaluation on American economy

人民币升值和汇率形成机制的改革受到了美国的欢迎,并要求人民币继续升值。但美国经济复苏乏力的根本原因并非人民币汇率过低。人民币升值也将加重美国进口商和消费者的负担,影响美国在华企业和美国本土依赖中国原料与零配件进口企业的利益,还会连锁影响到美国的长期利率及其在亚洲的经济利益。

American government has welcomed the RMB revaluation and the reforms on exchange rate formation mechanism and demanded the RMB to continue revaluation. Yet the real reason of slow American economic recovery doesnt lie in the lower exchange rate of RMB. In fact, the RMB revaluation imposes the burden on American import dealers and consumers. It exerts influence not only on American enterprises in China and American domestic business that depend on Chinese odd parts and raw materials, but also on American interest rate and its economic interest in Asia.
