Status Quo of and Insights into Folk Opera Culture in Ningbo

宁波作为历史文化名城,在历史上积累了丰厚的民间戏曲文化。但是,随着经济全球化和社会生活现代化大潮的强烈冲击,宁波民间戏曲文化濒危,抢救、保护和开发利用这些宝贵的遗产已成为我们必须面对的一项重大课题。为此,在对宁波民间戏曲文化的现状进行描述的同时,提出了保护民间戏曲文化的原则与对策。

Being a well-know historical and cultural city, Ningbo has accumulated rich folk opera culture through a long history. However, the culture is under serious attack by the overwhelming wave of economic globalization and modernization of social life, facing the verge of extinction. How to rescue, preserve and tap into this precious legacy has now thus become a significant subject for us. Apart from describing its status quo, the paper also proposes the principles and strategies of protecting the folk opera culture in Ningbo.
