摘要
文章以Ariel的可及性理论为基础,对《华盛顿邮报》和《纽约时报》的标题进行分析,结果表明中可及性标示语在报刊标题中占了很大比例,低可及性标示语和高可及性标示语所占的比例相对较小,这与可及性理论是一致的。
Based on Ariel's accessibility theory, this article makes an analysis of headlines in The Washington Post and The New York Times. The results reveal that there is a predominance of intermediate accessibility markers in newspaper headlines, then low accessibility markers, and the least used is high accessibility markers. However, this result is in accordance with accessibility theory.
