Based on an introduction of the designed functions and working principal of the hydraulic system, oil pump station and the electrical automatic control and protection system of the hoist for the flood discharge bottom hole gate of Wanjiazai Hydraulic Complex, the author analyzed the causes for the problems existing in hoist operation such as opening control and measurement etc., and put forward some improvement measures to ensure the smooth operation of gates, including changing hydraulic valve parts, improving the protection circuit for piston link etc.
