The trend of crazy Zen in the late Ming Dynasty was unique its behavior as well as in its thought and academics. Representatives of this trend introduced their spirit of resistance into their doctrines, thus breaking away from the rigid bondage of the Confucian school of idealist philosophy. They opposed hypocrite and pursued personal conscience and comprehension, never taking for granted what the precedents had thought.
