The New Oxford Engllsh-Chinese Dictionary is translated from The New Oxford Dictionary of English. As the most comprehensive and the newest bilingualized edition of English and Chinese, it is published in January, 2007, by Shanghai Foreign Language Education Press. This paper introduces and comments on the translating peculiarities and techniques of its entries, illustrations and semantic switches to present its authority on dictionary translation. It is a good example of bilingual dictionary compiling, deserving further study.
