On the basis of the analysis on the present supply and demand situation of China Power Grid and power load characteristic, this paper demonstrates the importance of power load management system in dispatching power demand side peaking resources, in improving load characteristic of power network, in operating retail power market, and also presents the real time requirements for power load management system .
