成语“骄奢淫逸”源于《左传》,经历了单音词单独运用、近义词两两连用阶段,最后四字连文定型为今成语,其词义古今也有所不同。
The idiom ＂Jiao she Yin Yu＂ is rooted in the ＂Zuo Zhuan＂, which undergoes the two phases from single use of the monosyllable word to coordinate use of its synonyms. Now the four characters are finalized as the present idiom and its meaning is different from one in ancient time.
