当外加应力强度因子变化幅度低于材料的疲劳裂纹扩展门槛值时,裂纹不会产生和发展,疲劳损伤几乎不能产生。裂纹尖端韧化区止裂工艺提高了裂纹尖端局部区域材料的疲劳裂纹扩展门槛值,减慢了疲劳裂纹扩展速率,使裂纹扩展寿命大为延长。
