无籽西瓜新品种新优40号的选育

Development of seedless watermelon variety—Xinyou No. 40

新优40号是新疆乌鲁木齐市农垦局种子公司西甜瓜研究所选育的优质、抗病、坐果性优良的杂交一代中熟无籽西瓜新品种。该品种全生育期87d,果实发育期32d;果实圆形,果皮墨绿覆隐条带,瓤色红,瓤质细脆多汁,无籽性好,中心可溶性固形物含量11.5/左右;单果重4kg左右,667m2产量3500kg。2007年3月通过新疆维吾尔自治区农作物品种审定委员会审定。

Xinyou No. 40, developed by the Watermelon ＆ Melon Institute of the Seed Company of Xinjiang Agriculture land Reclamation Bureau, is a seedless watermelon variety with high quality, good disease resistance and high yield potential. The fruit matures 87 days from sowing and 32 days from flowering. The fruit is globe shaped fruit with dark green skin and unobvious stripes. The flesh is red with fine juicy texture and 11.5% soluble solids at center. The fruit size is about 4 kg and 667 m^2 yield is about 3 500 kg.
