介绍了澳大利亚国立大学(ANU)2010年前的战略规划。它的办学目标:国际水平研究型大学;校训:重要的是发现事物的本质;文化:"发现"理念深入人心;价值观:诚实、尊重、学术自由等。ANU为它的研究、教育、社区等活动制定了应有的特色、责任,并将"发现"的文化和大学的价值观渗透在所有的规划中。ANU制定了各部门做规划时的基本准则,并要求各部门要有绩效评价。最后,介绍了ANU的蓝图和战略规划的10大特点。
The paper discusses the development strategies and characteristics of the Australian National University (ANU) before 2010. ANU's development aims at becoming a research-oriented university at top international academic levels. The university motto is“ Naturam Primum Cognoscere Rerum”( above all to find out the ways things are). Its culture is to put the idea of"to find" into students' hearts. The outlook on value is honesty, respect, freedom of academic researches, and so on. ANU has determined its own corresponding characteristics and responsibilities for its researches, education, communities and so on, taking its cultural idea and value outlook into consideration. The university has made basic criteria for its departments' references in making to provide their own performance evaluation reports.
