Japanese English Education Reform and the Corresponding Inspiration

进入全球化的21世纪，掌握好英语这一交流工具显得越发重要。中国和日本都在各自探索和尝试英语教育改革，以便更好地使其国民能真正地用英语交流沟通。中日两国在英语学习方面有许多相似的背景和共同面临的问题。文章通过回顾日本近6年来为英语教育所作的种种努力和尝试，着重讨论日本英语教育改革中较有特色的几个方面，希望能对我国的英语教育改革提供一些有益的启示。

With the step of globalization in 21st Century, it is commonly agreed that English has become a significant communication tool. China and Japan are on their respective exploration and attempts to reform English education in order to enhance their citizens＇ communication in English. Sharing similar language learning background, China and Japan are now facing many common challenges. In retrospect of Japanese＇ s efforts and trial to reform English education in recent 6 years, this paper focuses on several distinctive respects of that reform, which may provide certain reference and broaden the outlook on China＇s national English reform.
