Views on the Future of Internet

互联网在我们的生活中已根深蒂固，并且它的规模庞大，因此，互联网未来的发展必将是通过不断的进化（迁移），而不是重新建立新的互联网（即使新的互联网某些方面要比传统的互联网更好，完全替代传统的互联网也是不切实际的）。

The Internet is so deeply ingrained in our lifes and its scale is so large, its future development must be through evolution （migration）, a wholesale replacement, even with something vastly better, is impractical. However, many attempts to upgrade Internet services in the past have not been successful, e.g. multicast, QoS and IPv6. This situation has prompted proposals for running heterogeneous networks in parallel.
