克努特,挪威奥斯陆大学教授、前易卜生研究中心主任、《外国文学研究》杂志编委,杰出的易卜生研究及北欧、德国文学研究专家,其重点研究领域涉及从浪漫主义时期到现代主义以及后现代主义时期的小说、戏剧及现代文学理论。克努特教授曾以德文、挪威文及英文出版和发表著作十多部,发表论文150多篇,在易卜生研究方面产生了巨大的影响。在过去几年里,克努特教授为促进易卜生在中国的研究和交流曾多次来到中国参加学术会议。2007年4月1日,克努特教授接受了本刊特约记者陈清芳的采访。克努特教授指出了当今易卜生仍广受欢迎的原因以及易卜生研究方向的转移。他建议易卜生研究要更多地去关注戏剧的结构而不是内容,他认为正是其开放性的结构使得易卜生的戏剧时至今日仍是人们关注的话题。他还展望了与中国学者的合作项目直接将易卜生作品从挪威语译成汉语,这或许可以揭示易卜生在中国文化背景中深受欢迎的原因。
Knut BrynhildsvoU, professor and former director of the Center for Ibsen Studies, University of Oslo, Norway, and member of the Editorial Board of Foreign Literature Studies, is a distinguished expert in Ibsen studies and Nordic and Germanic literature from the Romantic period to Modernism and Post-Modernism, with his research focused mainly on novels, dramas and modem literary theories. He is the author of more than 150 articles and books written in German, Norwegian and English, which have tremendous influence on intemational Ibsen studies. During the past years, Professor Knut has participated in various academic activities in China to promote co-operation and communication in Ibsen studies. Lately, he was invited by CCNU to give lecture on Ibsen. On April 1, 2007, he was interviewed by Chen Qingfang at Central China Normal University. Professor Knut points out the shifts of focus on Ibsen studies and the reasons why Ibsen is still so popular in modern society. He advises that we should pay more attention to the structure of Ibsen' s dramas than to the content. He thinks that it is the open structure of Ibsen' s drama that keeps Ibsen topical even today. He also looks forward to a successful co-operation project with scholars in China in translating Ibsen from Norwegian into Chinese, which, he thinks, may answer the question why Ibsen receives such a warm welcome in a different culture.
