本文试图从人类境遇的荒谬、个体生命的绝望和生存意义的失落三个方面解读海明威系列作品的深刻主题20世纪人类生命的悲剧。海明威的系列小说在其深层的文化意义上,是关于现代人类历经浩劫之后的生存境遇和精神状态的思考。从他的作品中我们感受到了一种深刻的人类境遇的荒谬。人类境遇的荒谬必然导致个体生命的绝望和生存意义的失落。海明威在两个关键之点上深刻揭示了生存意义的失落一是生命价值的毁灭,二是生存价值的消解。
This paper attempts to illustrate the theme of Hemingway＇ s works—the human tragedy—through analysis of the three aspects： ridiculousness of human life; despair of individuals and meaninglessness of existence. Hemingway＇ s series of works are about the conditions of existence and of modem people. We can sense the ridiculousness of humanity in Hemingway＇ s works which leads to the despair of individuals. The loss of meaningful existence is revealed in the destruction of life and the loss of the value of life.
