The function orientation of academic journal in the construction of university is discussed in three aspects, which include： 1 ） the position of ideological and political education; 2） a supplement to the teaching and research; 3 ） a stage for knowledge innovation and talent training. Finally, it is also pointed out that the academic journal is an important part of the university＇s construction and management, and an effective guarantee to improve the quality of higher education.
