Ribavirin (1) was enzymatically synthesized from guanosine and 1,2,4 triazole 3 carboxamide (TCA) by intact cells of Brevibacterium acetylicum TQ 952 with equal amount of 200mmol/L guanosine and TCA. 1 was produced in 155.6mmol/L(78%yield) at 65℃ with 50mg/ml of cells (wet base) in 25mmol/L(pH7.0) phosphate buffer after 24h.
