The concept, working principle, classification and mechanism of humidity controlling materials are introduced briefly, and then the necessity of humidity controlling composite materials is analyzed based on the advantages and disadvantages of simple humidity controlling materials. The types, processing techniques, performance and mechanism of humidity controlling composite are reviewed and summarized. Finally the application prospects and the trends of research and development of humidity controlling composite are put forward.
