A meme is a unit of cultural information, which mutates and is inherited like a gene and spreads like a virus from one mind to anther. This paper is an observation of memetic phenomena in the use of metaphors of Chinese classical poetry. Based on the understanding of memetic features, the authors discuss the imitation of metaphors as memes.
