清代嘉道咸时期,书院讲学虽出现了一些新的特征,但由于受当时社会的影响.书院制度腐败,师资水平严重下降,书院经济状况恶化,毁废严重。书院开始了全面衰败的阶段。

During the Jiaqing, Daoguang, Xianfeng reign of the Qing Dynasty, some new characters showed in academy teaching. Due to the influence of the society, the academy system tended to be corruptive, the qualities of teachers were reduced, the economic conditions worsened, possessions were badly demolished, and the academy development slowed down. Thus, academy development began to decline during this period.
